Alpather Lake (AI Lake) is a beautiful water body located in the footsteps of Apharwat Mountain.  Surrounded by mountains and beautiful wildflowers, Alpather lake is a sight to behold.  Located 13 KM away from Gulmarg, the lake remains frozen during the winter when snow blankets the surrounding fields.

Khilanmarg is another beautiful meadow. From the Gulmarg bus-stand side, it takes an hour to reach Khilanmarg by pony. It offers views of grassy land surrounded by the Himalayas that look spectacular.  In winter you can see vast spread of snow at this beautiful place.

The Maharani temple is the royal temple of the former Dogra kings of Jammu & Kashmir. The shrine is also known as Mohineshwar Shivalalaya and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. A particular feature of this historic temple is that it is observable from every part of this beautiful place.
